The UN Human Rights Council has passed resolutions to promote civic space and the UN Special Rapporteurs have presented reports on key topics affecting civil society freedoms.  But what impact do these documents have on the ground?  This session examines how international instruments can be used effectively to defend and promote civic space in the local context.
