Ms. Bolivar is a professor of Sociology and Human Rights at Venezuela's Andres Bello Catholic University, where she currently serves as Director of the Human Rights Center. She is also the founder of the Venezuelan Program on Education and Action on Human Rights (PROVEA). Previously, she served as President of the Center for Justice and International Law (CEJIL), a member of the International Executive Committee of Amnesty International, a member of the International Council on Human Rights Studies, and a trustee of the Voluntary Fund of the United Nations Technical Cooperation. She also serves as a Visiting Professor of Human Rights in universities across Latin America and Europe.
