Debebe is a graduate from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) in Human Rights and Democracy and worked as a Federal High Court Judge and Director of Action Professionals Association for the People (APAP), a national human rights CSO. Since 2007, he has been working as legal consultant and attorney at law actively involved in the areas of CSOs. Currently, he is a board chairman of APAP and member of several other CSOs in Ethiopia.
